Sun Bless Day (Field Study)

A Truly Sun Blessed Day

It was truly a Sun Blessed Day, Praise be to Celestia!

Sometimes you just have to get out of the studio, and the house. After MLP this morning, I went for a long Bike ride up to lake Fayetteville, and found my self a nice spot on the far side of the lake, pulled out my field art kit, sat down, and doodled a field watercolor.

It was nice change of pace, fresh air, beautiful day, the smell of lake air, a stiff breeze, no expectations, no demands; just me standing there free handing it with my my field art kit. In spite of the mild sun burn, and the fact I had to dodge Frisbee-golf Frisbees (as I was standing 5 feet away from the 1st hole of the Frisbee-Golf course) it was very cathartic.

You can make out the bike trail passing the pump station, that is where I came in on. During the process a dude drove by several times in that boat. I had to add him. It was a little after high noon, and and the shadows of the freshly blooming trees of spring cascaded down the far embankment.

I wish I had remembered to put on my SPF 5000 sun cream. At least the first burn of the season is mild, and the signal that my ghostly/semi-transparent white ass will have to start using it again before going out. As beautiful as the day is, Sunlight burns! I am a creature of the night for a reason.

Enjoy *Grin*
